Yup, we have left Montreal to visit this beautiful valley. We are staying in a motel pretty simple but decent and clean at Saint Anne de Beaupré, close of the church where the remains of Saint Anne are kept (an arm !!).

It seems a very important site for pilgrims, something similar to Lourdes with less people.

We arrived yesterday, and already this night our bikes where on the road until Saint Joachim via the voie royal.

First day at Montreal

Yipeeee first day of vacation ! :)

After a good drive with our bikes in the back of the car from new york to montreal, we arrived in this hotel near the vieux port.

A good advice : dont go to this hotel (travelodge at montreal) … simply dont !

We pay $109/day for a shoe box good enough for one (we are two), the bathroom is not working (the toilet is simply plugged !) to finish in beauty, the AC stop at 76F (24C) making the night difficult. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So Montreal is a great city but it’s a bad start … at least we found a charming place at Beaupré (near Quebec) for saterday !

Update: Ok, once they understood that everything was not working, they gave us a new room (in front of previous one), curiously much more cleaner and this time with no problem ! at last !

Yup, we were at the bal of bastille day organised by french tuesdays and it was a real mess and a big disapointment. The sound was so loud that our ears were like in coton until the day after !

I was really angry because of this sound level and the fact it was a waste of money and time.

Hopefully, the street fair organised the sunday at 60th steet was a real pleasure :) Lots of french attitude and good food and joy ! Really fun !

So : vive la France :)

I was always passionated by space and space exploration. And Im very happy to see the shuttle going to space again with a dynamic crew.

I have followed them by NASA TV and I have made capture of the end of the first EVA (I think).

astronauts going inside the airlock astronauts putting tools in the shuttle bay. Beautiful view of earth from ISS Astronaut finishing repairing outside.

Thanks to NASA TV for these marvelous views !
